How do I tell my mom I love hip-hop?

It looks like an easy question, but here's the catch. My mom flat out hates hip-hop for its foul language, profanity, and mature content in their songs. How can I tell here that I only love the beat of the songs and not the content without sounding corny?

just say that I like the beat and I like the RYTHM because sometimes hip hop music is not bad and back in the 1800s it was every educational so maybe you can tell her that email me on here and tell me how it went.

Heres the thing: Parents are retarded, and won't believe you no matter what you say after you admit to something they despise. you need to tell her that hip hop(new anyways) means nothing, and that the lyrics are just fillers, and you love your music, for what it is, just music.
