How does your doctor tell if your pregnant?

you have to pee in a small cup, put in on the counter and then they dip a stick into your pee... if one line shows up, you are not pregnant. If two lines show up, you are. But, then they will send your results to a lab where they will double check it. Its the hormones in your pee that they can tell from. the doctor will then schedule you an ultrasound appointment where they will insert a camera in you... there they can see if an egg is in your ovaries... if there is one, you are definitely pregnant. happy some doctors make mistakes though.. or different times of urinating!! I took a pregnancy test at my highschool a few years ago.. it was positive. So I went to my doctors and took one also... theirs said negative. I waited a couple days and went back to my doctors and sure enough I WAS pregnant. Anyways, thats how its all done lol
