How does overweight affect the heart?

This is pretty easy one. Beeing overweight can put strain on the heart. But primarily beeing over weight can cause a number of other health related issues that effect the heart. Like lets say cholesteral. Or difficulty breathing making it hard to exercise. Or high blood pressure. These are the things that really effect the heart more, but are not always diseases completely related to weight. Like cholesterol and high triglicerides and all these disease can be found in physicaly thin people too and some can even be attributed to genetics.
