How does one get over child abuse?

My dad abused me and my family for years. I'm glad that we finally left him four years ago, but I'm still having trouble letting go of the past. Help?

well I went through almost the same thing but I dont thik you ever 4get it but my tharapist said to write in a journal it helps you express your self wit out getting embarest of what anyone might say or think it helps me feel better I don't know it might help u

It's hard to forget about things like that but even harder to move on. My only advice is to just live to the fullest and live with no regrets as soon as you can do that you will be able to let go and move on with everything. Good luck

My dad abuses me a lot and I'm only 10 years old! It is really scary so my parents are getting divorced pretty soon and I'm going to live with my mom and my little toy poodle Rusty! You know what I do,I just pray to god and it always helps me when I'm scared or sad. Hope That story helped. Good Luck!
