How do you use your gamecube remote with the wii?

I having a hard time trying to figure out how to plug the game cube controller into the wii .can somebody help?

If Im right there should be a panel that you can open somewhere that will have ports for the gamecube controllers

If it's on the stand, the panels on the top. If it's laying down, it's on the left side.
