I say soda and im from new york
when I moved to illinois I noticed everyone says pop
I say sneakers they say gym shoes
I say sir-up they say seer-up (syrup)
I say are-ange they say or-ange (orange)

just curious to know what people say based on where they are from.

I Say soda, sometimes pop.

I hear both down here. except for pop. but as for me, I say sir-up, soda, orange, OH!! and we say tennis or tennis shoes for the shoes.

I say, coke for all kinds of soda.

For on I say owen? hah I dont know it comes out weird.

I live in north Florida in a really small rednecky town. We pronounce it Flarda. Never Flori-da.

We say coke for everything too unless we're ordering something specifically. It would be like Do you want tea, water, or coke? Coke. What kind? Dr. Pepper.

We call them tennis shoes. Never sneakers. I don't know why though, because I don't know anyone that actually plays tennis in them.

We also say sir-up.

For orange we pronounce it arnge.
