As far as I know, men don#039;t usually feel the hymen or when they have broken it. The most important thing is to make sure your girlfriend is confortable and aroused (try oral sex to get her wet). Some girls hymens break when they are very sporty as young girls and there might not be any pain involved. Usualy when you break the hymen it hurts a little and even bleeds a bit after. You break it usualy by penetration. Remember to be gentle and take your time that way you both can enjoy it!

There isnt literally some thing called a cherry, yet it refers to the hymen. the hymen is just the skin around the opening of the vagina. if it is streched too wide (if you dont take it slow) then it will bleed. its lke ripping open skin. but that skin is very thin, making it very easy to rip. the length of the penis would only cause pain to the cervix (the opening into the uterus) while the width would hurt because the hymen would be streched around further. by the way,
