How do you know when you're really in love?

..I recently created a quote..I'm pretty sure I made it up .. Love is a ritual that requires constant self sacrifice. When I was younger (not that I'm not young now) I thought I loved a person or two...the first, I simply enjoyed the company and attention..but I discovered I had no real interest in a future for us. The second, It was not love..it was admiration...He was several years older than I and I loved him..but not in a LOVE sort of way. After a while, I learned that love is not all rainbows and stars. There are clashes, but enough determination to drag through them, all the while trying not to be too selfish. Sometimes you give 99%..and sometimes 9% , but you always have to make up for what you're not giving. It's ...a feeling of comfort..sort of like you've known them forever. It's not really the 'oh..what's his name is so sweet and nice and cute' stuff. Love is about supporting each others dreams and goals. Setting your own aside to help. Love is about barely making it sometimes...you'll know..beyond any doubt...because it is the most comfortable, worry you to death, fun filled, bore you to tears, scary, don't want to lose it ever, cry your eyes out bc you're happy to be loved by them or to know them, luckiest person ever...feeling ..it's not what I expected..sorry this is so long...***END***
