lift up its dress lol no im kidding to figure out what gender a turtle is you would have to females are usually larger and darker in color than males. another distinction between the two is that females will generally have larger heads and males have a slightly concave under shell(like a spoon). females usually have longer nails than the males and males have a minor bulge where the reproductive organ is located.
