How do you get rid of spam and keep it from coming back?

Ok, everyone has deleted a piece of junk mail or tried to filter it to find either a new one spring up in its place or the same spam come back from a different server. How do you get rid of Spam and keep it from coming back? Do I have to get a new email address? I have opted out of everything but it doesn't seem to help.

If you download Incredimail (free), you can set it up initially so ALL your mail goes to a folder labeled 'JUNK'.....once they start coming to it just pick out the ones you want and change their status to 'Approved Sender'........your regular incredimail mail will have 'zero' spam......only 'Approved Senders'....works excellent
