How do you get into modeling?

What are some ways to get into modeling?

when I lived in my old town near austin we heard that modeling agents were looking for people on the radio, so we went and tried out and made it but we didnt want to spend 1000 dollars for me and my brother to go to dallas to get an agent and sign, but just keep your ears open for ads like that

Keep an eye out for local agencies advertising etc, But get a portfolio done .. (somewhere professional obviously) tell the photographer it is for a portfolio so you can get some decent shots!! Then go around modelling agencies and make yourself known! They will ask for a portfolio so would be ideal if you did have one!! Then if they take you on they find you work

I don't know if this will help you but heres an idea...watch america's next top model and see what they do and make sure that who you're signing up with wants to have you so make a good impression and make sure to have a ton of pictures of youself posing! like slyfox said go to botiquemodels.com!!! they're great!

send your pic to talent agencies and magazines (sears, Limited Too, MAcy's start small.) post pics on the internet and pray someone finds you.

Find a photographer that will do time for prints. Meaning he'll make you a portfolio if you allow him to trademark the pics he took for his own work... From there, find a manager, someone that will go with you to agencies and show them your portfolio, from there it's just a luck of the draw...
