Happiness, nutrition, make-up, living a stress relief life, and genetics all have a part to take in it. Even the climate you live in can affect how young you look. I.E. If you live in the desert with no humidity then you will have a much more weathered and older leather look in later years. But if you live in Seattle where there is no sun-shine and tons of humidity, then you will have softer and brighter skin.

You got some good advice. I started using Oil of Olay moisturizerr on my face when I was 20. I am 42 and I swear I get told all the time I don't look it with or without make up. In fact, if I have make up on I tend to get Id'd more when buying beer than when I dont have any on.

Take care of your skin. Clean it every nite before you go to bed. Find a good cleanser and a good astrigent. Keep moisturizer on it. If you tan, then make double sure you keep I the moisturizer on it. I'm not going to tell not to tan because I do but keep it to a minimum. Don't do like some people and go every day year round.
