How do I stop the madness?

I'm in 8th grade and it's my last year at this school. because of this we are having a field trip to an amusement park at the end of the year and a formal dance (and dinner!). anyway, at 1st, many of the 8th grade students were misbehaving and causing the rest of us good kids trouble. because of the misbehavior, the principal called an assembly for 8th grade to tell us off and threaten to take away our dinner dance and amusement park trip.I really thought this was unfair. today, the principal made an announement to say that he was going to get a list of student's names from 8th grade teachers who always get into trouble so that he could make sure that they dont go. I'm still not sure that we will have our trip, but we are most likely going to have the dance. I am sick of having to suffer for other people's mistakes. I've always been the "good girl" in school and me and my friends are tired of the madness. next year, in high school, we are going to have 2 deal w. the same kids. I dont even think that the high school we are all going 2 even wants us. they've heard really bad things about us
MY QUESTION IS: HOW DO I GET THESE IDIOTS TO CONTROL THEMSELVES AND STOP THE MADNESS?!!
p.s. it would probably be helpful if you knew that I am on the student council, so I do have a little power=)

Oh my god. Please! :D Grow up already, you should really already know that a dance is not the most important thing in the world and secondly, the decision makers in High Schools cant let behaviour in lower grades to affect their judgment on choosing new students to High School.. Hope you understand what I tried to say.

this isn't about not getting accepted. you get accepted whether they want you or not, it's like an open school

I am a very good girl but some times I just go what the heck im just going 2 have fun and if the teachers dont like it skrew them
