How do i rescue a kissass from her utter demise?

How do you help a person, stop being a kiss*ss?

This person is my acquaintance and I just can't stand watching her social life dwindle away as she tries to make herself seem better than anyone else.

The other day walking to class we were talking about how certain hair colors and eye colors are going extinct, and in a round about way we started to talk about our own eye's. (Most people know the different eye colors: Blue, Exotic and Caucasian green (Exotic is like a sea foam or emerald color (really pure no brown flecks) while Caucasian is army green w/ brown flecks in it), brown gray and black, like some black people have) her eyes were Caucasian green, it is a rare color I'm willing to admit that. She then told me my eye's were black, I didn't really mind I though it would be cool since I’m kind of Emo. When I said that she tried to make herself seem better by saying how great it is to have green eyes, and make it seem black eyes were a bad thing. When we got to the table everyone agreed that my eyes were exotica green (which is a super rare eye color because it's the result of a mutation in your DNA) she didn't like that at all she insisted they were Black everyone thought she was color blind. (Yah I know it’s a stupid argument I found it funny though because she seemed so determined to make herself seem better)

Then she tried to compare herself to cat (really skinny, and pretty person) that didn't really work, the girl is pleasantly plump she’s short too Cat however works out and is very tone and Cat being Cat said oh yeah I’m fat! Every including cat knew that wasn't true, don't you love sarcastic people. Then she said well if you’re fat then I'm fat. The thing was she WAS fat. Everyone glared at her and thought the same thing. I lol'd and got her mad so she left the table to sit with the person whom everyone at the table hated, trying to make us jealous, we could care less honestly. Though I do pity the girl and wish to help her.

Then when I started to go public about my modeling career at least to my friends. She started telling people stuff like how playboy asked her to model 4 her when she turned eighteen and a talent scout managed to find out where she lived and what her name was to send her a letter. I thought that was the biggest piece of crap I ever herd and it was stupid to tell me anyway because I, know that never happens because A) playboy would never look at young girls B) There are no talent scouts just walking around looking at people and magically finding there personal information C) there are no playboy mansions in the area. She also tried to brag about a slip of paper given to every girl at the school asking to participate in a pageant and this all coincidentally happened when I went public.

She also went into a huge argument over a computer that I was sitting in because she wanted to show off the wallpaper she had, does she not know that everyone on the face of the earth can put wallpaper on a computer. I guess she thinks she’s a computer whiz or something.

Then she not only has to boast about herself but her ancestors’ too...

She tells the same story over and over again about how her great grandfather did some thing along time ago blah blah blah...

Whenever me and my friends are venting to each other about the terrible things that happened when we grew up like parents divorcing, abuse, constant insults we got growing up from judgmental people(yah pretty ruff) She tries to brag about how bad her life is. I wanted to b*tch slap her that day. Both of her parents love her and each other, she has no friends because she ditched us and well that’s it. She’s talking about something she doesn't even understand.

I'm not trying to make her look bad, in fact I want to help her.( as you can tell I never said her name) I Feel bad because she's going to end up like me when I was like that and that was h*ll. I don't want her or anyone to experience that kind of pain, but if she did go through that maybe she would actually understand I don't know, I just wonder if there's anyway for her to learn, without learning the hard way. Because I do care.

She sounds quite insecure. And she probably has no idea that the way she's acting makes people think she's full of herself. Quite often, superiority complexes stem from a deeply low self esteem.

I think it would be in her best interests if you took her aside and quietly explained how her behaviour comes across. If she's hurt by what you say, tell her you;ve been through exactly the same thing.
