How do I make this dance special?

We are having an end of the year dance for middle school students in grades 6 through 8. how do I include everyone but make it special for 8th graders? after all this is their last year at the school before moving on to high school. thanks :0)

maybe some games or something!

ummm... maybe make song requests and have them dance with those whom they may never see aging due to different high schools... or have a slide show for all the graduates!! ...take and collect pics of the eighters and put it together in a power point presentation...and have it played at the end of the dance. ohhh... or have the last dance for the grade 8s, have the song 'graduation' by vitamin C played along with the slide show!!

most kids will say it's lame even if they have the time of their lives.
if it has anything to do with school they will pretend like its lame. its all about friends.
don't over think it they are just kids.

yeah I'm in 8th grade.
just don't go out of your way to make it too special, they won't care that much.

dont have to much supervision and just let them have fun. the darker and tighter the space they are in the better BELIEVE ME unless you go to sum ultra conservitive school haha but w.e the 6th graders may not like the down and dirty style but it will welcome the 8th graders into a high school environment they need to feel. and cool flashing lights great music and mabye the picture thing like butterfly_kiss3z said.
