I'm agreeing with peace baby here... the body totally -hates- any drastic (and unrealistic) weight loss procedures - to lose weight (and keep it off) is a slow process, aided by lifestyle changes, not diets!
As an individual who's come down from a UK size 12 to a size 6 in the past 3 years, I can at least give you some ideas for your goal from my own personal experience:
- Try out weight training, it builds muscle, and burns calories! For best results, use a set of dumbells (I only ever use 2kg ones) for exercises like Squats, Shoulder Press, and Reverse Fly. Also, try out Press-Ups and Crunches (I seriously don't recomend Sit-Ups though, they damage abdominal muscle!)
For more intense work-outs, try alternating the weight-training from a set of 'top-half' reps, followed by exercises that concentrate on the 'lower half' e.g. Reverse Flys followed by Squats.
- Mornings are when you'll more likely to burn most calories, so a bit of exercise after you wake up will be more effective for weight loss than in say, the evening.
- Try to stay away from, or limit the amount of 'processed' foods you eat. You don't have to be a Vegan like me lol, but I really, really believe that the less flavourings, preservatives and taste-enhancers in food, the better.
- Drink Green or White Tea - they say they're aquired tastes, but to be honest, I hated the taste when I first started drinking them too, but now I can't live without it
- Aerobic exercise. No way of escaping this one: even with weight training schemes, what really burns fat is simple, cardio-exercise such as running, swimming, cycling etc.. Combined with a small 30min weight training session in the morning, 3 sets of cardio work per week will absolutely boost your metabolism, kill unnecessary hunger pangs, and thus help weight loss a great deal.
(Also, it might be helpful to find out exactly how many calories your body needs per day, on one of the more reliable calorie-requirement calculators on the net. They usually require your height, weight and age alongside how much physical activity you do, then they give an estimation of how many calories you should be consuming per day).
Hope some of this helped.
