How do i know if this guy likes me? he keeps giving mixed signals!!

So I've liked this guy for a while but I'm really confused because one minute he'll act like he likes me and the next he'll act like he doesn't even know me. Once, I heard him tell his friend that he doesn't like anyone. On AIM he doesn't even talk to me...

so much. And if I talk to him first, he'll only respond with 1-word answers. But then other times he'll have more of a response. When he acts like he likes me, it's like so obvious though. He has a lot of female friends though and he is flirtatious but I just have a feeling that he truly likes me. It was really cold one day and he was complaining about how cold it was. So he comes closer to me so that our arms are touching and he's like that's better. And whenever our eyes meet, he has to do some weird gesture with his hands or something. When he sees me coming, he'll sometimes wait to walk with me or hold the door open for me. Sometimes not though. And he recently came to my party and he was like all over me. I'm not complaining though haha. To be honest, I wasn't even sure if he was coming since he forgot what day it was and I reminded him the night before. But he was the first guest there and he came all the way there on his scooter! We were playing truth or dare and nobody dared him but he decided to stand on top of the roof and yell I love my best friend Ruth and I don't care what anyone thinks about it!(I'm Ruth btw) And then when we were taking group pics, he was like Everyone say we love ruth! I thought it was really sweet. And he had to be somewhere @ 5 but he stayed till 5:30 anyway and before he left, he gave me a big hug and was like I'm gonna miss you. Then he hugged everyone else and came back and hugged me again. He had been hugging me inbetween the party too. I also had the party recorded and to be honest, I saw him looking at me a lot. But the next day, as usual, he didn't even talk to me. So this is why I'm so confused. I don't know if he likes me or is just flirting with me because he know I like him. I never told him I did. Maybe it just seems kinda obvious. I don't know...HELP!

your gonna hate hearing it, but you need to ask him. girls over think situations 99% of the time. and to find out if he truly does like you, your gonna have to be the one to find out by straight out asking him
