what they said was right. just let god into your heart and forgive you of all your sins. also you could get baptised like I did when I was 13. it's truely amazing (but watch out for see through shirts) that's something you don't want the whole church to see HA HA

It is ok to come to the Lord at any age. If you are sincere just kneel and ask God to forgive your sins. Tell HIm why you want Him to come into your heart and ask Him to be your Saviour. If you are truly sincere God will come into your heart and you will be saved, but you need to continue to walk in the spirit meaning you need to read the Bible, pray, and go to church to learn more about Him.

Saint Augustin once said, 'Love, love, and besides that, do as you wish'. Loving your brother is loving God, loving God is loving your brother. Faith is not a duty, it's a right. Seek not to be saved, but to love.

Sacraments are essential. They are the aura of God on our lives. I got baptized at 4 days old, I've been told (I forgot!) that I loved the water and the salt, already! My strongest emotion was not at my first communion, but my confirmation : I had been explained that, after the body of Christ through communion, I was receiving the Lord's spirit. I recall a very deep commitment, it enlightened my life.

pray and ask God into your heart and life. if you havent already, pick up a bible and read about Jesus sacrifice for all of us. it is retold several times in the new testament, from different witness perspectives, but it is the same story. and I want to encourage you by saying that God has known you from before time began. He had loved you so deeply and for so long that he anxiously anticipated your arrival in flesh form. You are his beloved child, and one whom he wishes to never be seperated from. even though you sin, even though you fall short of the mark, or measure of perfection, he loves you still, with the purist of all unconditional loves. he longs for you to seek him out, to share in eachother's companionship. if it were for you alone Jesus would have sacrificed himself for your saving, you are that valuable, that precious to him. You are royalty, a child of the King, and heir to the Kingdom. To put it in modern terms, you have the biggest, baddest king-daddy of them all, and he has your back! so dont you worry, you just pray from your heart everyday and you are saved!

A Christian was talking to me about God one day and she was trying to 'save' me. She said I needed to turn my life over to God and to say, basically, what the first person on here said to say which was 'ask God to forgive my sins.Tell hIm why I want him to come into my heart and ask him to be my saviour'.

I said 'You mean that all I have to do is say those words and I'm saved?', she said 'yes'.
I told her that someone else had me to say those words a while back. After I said that, she quit trying to convert me. It was as if she wasn't going to get the brownie points, why bother talking to me any longer.

I was glad. I was tired of listening to it.

Katwoman... God knows the heart... whether or not it is sincere. You can mouth words all day long... you can read the entire bible, you can go to church 3 x per week, you can give all you own to the poor, and anything esle that you can think of, but, if your heart is not sincere... YOU WILL NOT BE SAVED.

You can mock all you want to... faith to you is a jest. To those of us that are saved... it is very precious indeed. You will never enter Gods kingdom... until your heart is right.

God says that we are to humble ourselves, and that we must repent... that means that we have realized that we are sinners in need of a savior. Until that time, you are releasing hot air.

There is no such thing as getting saved. Just live your life being the best person you can. If that isn't good enough for some people, ignore them. You don't have to believe in the supernatural in order for life to be fulfilled.

becoming a christian is not just saying those words, it's more than that, you can say those words, but if you don't truly believe them, or if your heart doesn't say it, then you really aren't a christian.

The Bible says that you must 'Believe on the Lord and you shall be saved' in Acts 16:31. This is pretty obvious, but it brings about the question of how you are to believe. The Bible says that 'Faith without works is Dead' in James 2, and also 'But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish' in Matthew 7. According to the scripture, you should confess your sins to God and repent of them, which means to turn away from them, and seek to do his will. Remember that your works will not save you but they are evidence of your salvation because Jesus said, 'By their fruits ye shall know them' in Matthew 7. Likewise, the Bible says in 1 John that 'He who claims to know me and keeps not my commandments is a liar and the Truth is not in him.' Remember, 'If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved,' Romans 10:9. I hope this helped you, and if you have any more questions about this just post them and I would be happy to answer. If you need to talk to someone about accepting Jesus Christ, I suggest looking up a local church in your area and talking to the pastor of that church, he will be able to guide you through it. I'll be praying for you.
