How do i create my own ripped jeans?

I have an old pair of jeans and I want to create that ripped affect.

what do I use? do I use my hands or a nail filer or grater or what???

cut a tiny hole and then rip it accross with your hands

well I used a grater and they came out like I bought them.
but if you want an actual rip then dont use scizzors it comes out tooo perfect and people will know its fake
use the grater where you want it then when its worn down cut it

if you want to create your own ripped jeans by a really cheap pair first [incase it goes wrong] then, get the sissors and start cutting. start at the knee. only make a small hole and then start ripping around it. remember not to make the holes too big.

a nailfile wont get you anywere
sandpaper is good for ripping and shredding them
you can also cut a hole in them then rip that or wait for it to fray
a cheesegrater might work if you want lots of little holes in the same place
tying them to a car and driving over a very rocky place fpr a while will also make them ripped
the easiest thing for you to do though would be to cut a hole and then rip it
