ummm beign emo is kewl I guess but you cant just be emo with your looks. looks are kinda stereotypical. and in order 2 have that emo kinda feel you hafta have a lot of changes mentally. ya not all of them cut themselves, but most seem 2 be emo 4 a specific reason. whether they dont like life or something or someone hurt them.
2 me it sounds like your just asking your dada 2 make you get a new look and it mite make you seeem a bit of a poser.
no offense of course, but I rilly think that you shud stick 2 your own style, be who you want 2 be. you can have that emo look if you want, but change it up 2 be your own and dont change because of the look

I dont know the situation you in so my advice my not be the best. Its your hair and you should do what you want with it!why dont you ask your dad to get the wash out dye. That way he can see what it looks like and if he and you dont like it comes out in like 30 washes or try a dark brown

Dying your hair black is the worst possible choice you could ever make. It just never looks good no matter who it's on, it's too fake looking. Try going for a really really dark brown. And remember looks don't mean anything. You can be emo without piercings and dark clothes it all comes from the inside and how you truly feel. That my friend was a true emo statement.

you do NOT want to dye your hair black. I did that when I was 15 or so. it is impossible to get it out of your hair. I ended up having to cut it all off to get rid of the color. brown's are always good. even something with a reddish tint would be good
