How do i become an animal caretaker?

I would love to become a carer for animals, sick or just waiting for rehoming, how do I go about finding out about it? and what skills I need and what sort of home do I need, that sort of thing?

Call your local Humane Society - they should be able to provide you with information in your area...Good luck !!

I have a student that wants to get into the field. One of the thing I told her is to see if she can volunteer at a vet. shop. It's a nice way to get your foot in the door and if you've not already, learn to deal with the public as an animal caretaker.
