im new to this site, but im pretty sure you become an advisor after you post a certain amount of answers

The advisors either ask to be promoted or we invite them, for giving good advice, having solid command of English, being courteous of other members, etc.

After you've been on the site for a while give a bit of good advice, then contact us we'll promote you.
