At about 8 months old the baby is about 16 inches long and weighs about 4 1/2 pounds. All of the bones are developed.

Between 8 and 9 months the baby is about 18 to 21 inches long, weighs about 6 to 8 pounds, sleep patterns are apparent, and a lot of movement. They are pretty much ready to come out at this point.

Hope this helps.
