How come a lot of questions remain unanswered?

How come questions don't get resolved here??

The stay open forever it seems?? Please don't judge me I am new here and trying to learn some stuff.

Why dont you ask a question that someone can help you with instead of judging posts that are already there ? Not judging just a thought ?

If members don't know the answers to some of the questions, how would you suggest they are 'resolved'?

People reply to questions that they have knowlsdge or an opinion on. By definition, there will be some questions that don't get answered.

You mean the 3 year old ones? Long story...the short version is we had a feature a long while ago (4-5 years ago, in the 'dark' ages) that would make questions invisible for a while after they were asked.

We have less unanswered ones now than we did even a few months ago...and, hopefully the list will be very short in the next few months as we are working to get everything answered, etc.

Of course, the love & relationships category has a few unanswered ones from 2 weeks ago or so that haven't been tackled yet, and that's a perennial issue, as not everything in that category gets a reply.

Well, allot of questions don't get answered because maybe people don't know what to put or say.
I have some unanswered questions and I'm patient. I sometimes wonder myself why allot of questions are unanswered.
