Honey, I can't tell if your a female or male? However I'm in the education of medicine. First of all, DON'T HAVE SEX!! Until you find out. Herpes is more common than you think! Think of four to five of your friends. Now, try to choose, by looks alone, which one friend you think might have herpes. You may never shows signs that you have it and you might have some signs. If a female; sores like a cigarette burn on or inside of the 'lip' area. Burning or tingling when you pee. You will notice it more when you have your period. Or right before. Under a lot of stress, you will have more outbreaks (sores). Flu like symptoms; tired, fever, body aches, swollen lymph nodes. Swollen lymph nodes can be confusing for those who are not experianced....in this case.... genital herpes would be located in the inguinal area (inner area between the legs where the 'private' area meets the upper most top of the leg). If you DO feel a lump of some kind you need to contact a DOCTOR. In the case it's cancer related you want to take care of it immediately! If your a male, same symptoms as a female. your sores will appear on the pen*s or on the inside. Sores can appear in further places like the anus area ( rear end ). It doesn't matter where you get it once you have it you can give it to somebody by blood or semen/vaginal fluid. Which means..... Don't have oral sex either! Once the fluid is in your body....you just don't know? Don't touch your face after using the bathroom! If you have acne you can trasmit herpes to your face (not as likely, but just a warning). And don't rub your eyes! Women who are pregant, need to tell there doctor of their condition. If gone unnoticed, during the delivery of the baby, the baby could have such things as blindness. There have been plenty or babies delivered by mothers with herpes and are completely healthy. There are plenty of clinics available for testing and counseling, one being Planned Parenthood. Believe me I know, I'm happy and living with herpes myself.
