How can you tell if you going to have a baby the morning afterr?

You posted this like 3 years ago, so I'm going to guess this isn't an immediate problem anymore, but I'll answer for the sake of others who might wonder:

You CAN'T know the morning after! Well, my mom says that the morning after my sister and I were conceived, she could tell, but she also said that's rare and that she's just unusually in tune with her body. Most women have NO clue for several days, even a few weeks, depending on when their period is coming. Often, it's not until a woman misses her period that she suspects she's pregnant. Now, if a woman is trying to get pregnant, or is worried that she might be just b/c she had sex, then she might take a pregnancy test sooner, but if a woman isn't expecting it, then it's usually the missed period that tips her off.

Clinical blood and urine tests can detect pregnancy soon after implantation, which is as early as 6-8 days after fertilization. Home pregnancy tests are personal urine tests, which normally cannot detect a pregnancy until at least 12-15 days after fertilization. Both clinical and home tests can only detect the state of pregnancy, and cannot detect its age.

And as for the morning after, you can't medically test for pregnancy then. If you didn't use protection, or it failed (the condom broke or whatever), or you were raped, you can take the morning-after pill (Plan B) up to 72 hours after intercourse, which will prevent ovulation, fertilization, and/or the embryo from implanting in your uterus. It's not an abortion, but some people have a moral objection to it, so you'd have to figure out for yourself if you're comfortable with taking it. It's available w/o a prescription to women 18 and older- you just have to ask a pharmacist for it. Girls 17 and under are required to have a prescription, so they'd have to visit a doctor to get it. (You can go to Planned Parenthood or a similar clinic- you don't have to visit your family doctor. An immediate care center might be able to write a prescription, too. I don't think you'd need a parent's permission, either, if you didn't want them to know or they wouldn't allow it.) Of course, if you're under 18, you could ask an older friend to get it for you... not saying that's a great idea or that it's legal, but you could.
