By what? However, as a general observation, I think it is extremely easy for people to be influenced.

We are most easily influenced when we are merely passive receptors of something, and not actively involved, I.e. not putting just as much in as the factor which is influencing us, whether that factor is a band, a politician, or anything else where we are passive receptors to one kind of message or another.
