Okay, the best way to tone your body is arobic excersize, like running and swimming. If you eat 1500 calories, you probably burn it all off that same day, so if you work out for half an hour or so, and use up 500 calories, that means that your body will only have 1000 left over for the rest of the day.
BTW 1 pound of fat is 3500 Calories.
You can do sit ups, but push-ups dont really help with your stomach muscles, just arm muscles, and they make your boobs smaller.
Aerobics are best for tummy but here's also a good way to keep it flat.
Lie on your back, and lift your left leg about 10 inches off the ground. Keep it there, and raise your right leg up and down 10 times. It's hard at first. Change legs and do the same thing with the other side. Build up to 20 reps. and do 3 to 5 sets twice a week.
There are these wonderful things called Dragon Killers. You lay on your back and raise your knees toward your chest, at the same time...raise your upper body also ( head toward your knees..you hands should be behind your head). Straighten out...only the small of your back should touch the floor. Legs should be extended a few inches off of the floor as well as the rest of your body...curl back up..that's 1...do a lot of them...I don't know...25 should be good..or maybe 15 to start with. Tip: if you have trouble with balance, lay on your hands...put them under the bottom of your back where it touches the floor. Also...you can lay on your stomach...arms and legs off of the floor and kick your legs and move your arms in swimming motions..this starts to hurt pretty quickly..but it's awesome. Leg throws are great ..have someone stand over you.. your ears even with their ankles. hold onto their ankles raise your legs 6 inches off of the floor and then throw them at the person... both legs should be straight up like this 11...the person will catch your feet and push them back toward the floor..using your stomach muscles to stop them from touching. start at 10 and work your way down ...10-1 then 9-1 8-1 and so forth...I hope this is clear enough and I hope it helps

How can i tone my abs?

How can i tone my abs?
I have lost over sixty pounds so I am left with lots of skin (or fat?) and want to tone my abs. What kind of excercises can I do to firm this part of my body? Maybe push-ups, sit-ups, and Jumping-jacks? I don't know, I've been trying for awhile. Please...
help me! I cannot go to a gym though, or hire a trainer, I just need regular at home help.
Also, say like you eat 1500 calories a day, but you burn off 500, does that mean it is technically 1000 calories? This kind of stuff confuses me.
~Thanks
Emily
