How can I tell what my sexual orientation is?

ok... im really confused. im 14 and a couple months ago I really honest to god thought I was a lesbian. but then I thought I was completely straight and now I find myself confused and not intereseted in anyone, male or female. so is there a way to tell if im straight, homo or bi or do I have to wait...?

its possible you dont have a preference for male nor female. but since you like(d) girls and like(d) boys there is a liklyhood that you're bi. sometimes you like girls more then boys or boys more then girls. a lot of times it just takes a little while to figure out who you are and who you like. you know? I'm 16 and I just found out that I'm bi but my two closest friends experimented and knew right after that they were straight and lesbian. you've told me that you kissed a girl and you've gone as far as sleeping with a guy. maybe you should experiment a little longer when you're 'interested' and then you'll have a clearer view on who you are. Relax, you're only 14, you're developing as a personality right now, so of course you are confused. People don't really know themselves until much older. You'll go through phases, and you'll find your answer. Just keep experimenting, questioning, trying, until you find what's right for you. And in the end, it's all about your own definition and how you see things. Don't let others label you - they probably have a different measuring scheme anyway. I'm a 22-year-old girl and have French-kissed and made out with girls and slept with guys. The female body turns me on but I love dating guys. Somebody might say I'm bi, but to myself I am straight, I know that I like having different kinds of fun but at the end of the day I feel straight despite it all and that's the label I give myself - nobody else has the right to question it.

But all my friends know and I joined this GSA thing at school because my friend, Joel kept bugging me to and so we're going around and telling our orientation and a little about ourselves and everyones like 'My names, whatever there name is, I like, whatever they like to do, and I'm, whatever they are. Then they get to me and I'm like My names Itsy, I like to listen to music and play my guitar and I like to write stories or poems blah blah blah and I dont really know what I am and then I look like an idiot. So while I'm confused how the heck do I avoid embarassing moments like this?
