Are there any visual signs that my bulldog bitch is going into heat? She is about seven months old and we have white carpet.

Am... I'm not really sure I got it, but...
You can check her tongue. Every dog sweats by its tongue.

Yes, there will be swelling in her vulva area. This will go on for about 7 days until she starts to have bleeding for about 7 days changing to a pink colored discharge, for 7 days unless she is bred.

Some dogs of this breed may wait until almost up to a year old but she is at the right age to be coming into heat. Anytime after 6 months of age.

She will also do what is called flagging. Signaling she is ready to mate.

If you have white carpet, you will know. But watch her and you will see a change in size of her vulva area just before she comes all the way in heat.
