How can i strengthen my gums?

I was supposed to get braces a couple of months ago because I got teeth removed at the back of my mouth so now everything needs shifted back.
Anyways so I went and got all the orthodontist work done and he sent me to my dentist to make sure it was okay...

to go ahead with the braces. I went to the dentist and he said there is no way my teeth are in the shape to get braces because they are for some reason too weak to handle the them.

What are ways to strengthen my gums? I really want this over and done with.

It seems as though your Orthodontist may have jumped the gun, so to speak. Are you sure he was supposed to do the work that he did?

Typo, sorry, he said my gums aren't in shape. There is no doubt in my mind that the orthodontist jumped the gun, it actually amazed my dentist because he did the impressions on my teeth and scheduled the appointment to have them put on *before* I even went to my dentist!
Turns out my dentist office is actually expanding and will be doing ortho work by spring time so my parents are sending me there to get them done because they don't trust the guy I originally went to (I went because two of my friends got theirs by him with great results)

well when you were at your dentist, you should have asked him... but yeah... brush often, and rinse with Listerine cause it kills the gum disease gingivitis and promotes healthy gums... Do it like it says on the packaging. and use crest toothpaste. it's the best and comes in all flavors and special formulas.
