How can I meet her mom

rebbeca wont let me in her house to meet her mom. in fact I've never seen her mom. I think that she knows if she lets me see her mom I'll tell her that her daughter is cutting herself. I know there are some problems at home and I think her mom or dad mite have something to do with it how do I get in to see her mom and should I do it behind her back for her own safety?

well okay I think you should tell your counseler or some one else but her parent because they might be the reason why she hates her self enough to cut her slef. I understand they have to know but if you tell the right person they should contact her parents and tell them in the right way they should b told.

Meeting or not meeting her mom won't keep you from telling someone. If you REALLY wanted to tell you could write a letter, and Rebecca should know that. Clearly Rebecca needs help, and she can get it herself from school, or a helpline, or a relative, anyone. Ask her if she wants you to go with her to a clinic, or to the school nurse. Although I feel strongly that an adult needs to get involved to help, the right person may not be her mom. If Rebecca can choose someone else on her own it would be much better. If not, is there someone you both think has a good head on their shoulders that you could tell?

that is good that you care for your friend's welfare..sometimes people cut because they have been or are being sexually abused and your wanting to speak to her parents may worsen the situation for her..you need to get your friend to speak to an adult that she may be able to trust about the situation..tell her that she cannot get through this on her own..she needs help
