How can i keep at anorexia?

I am relli unhappy with my weight im 15 and I go thru stages of starvin maself and makin maself sick after meals but it doesnt last and any weight I loose I put ryt back onn plzz tel me a way I can keep atit??

OMg.. i have the same problem :| nd im 15 lol.(i bet ur thinner tho) i hate my weight too. i find it hard t starve my self or not eat alot bcoase my mum n dad r always buyin food n we all sit together at meals n tht. alaso the bulimc thing.. this sounds totaly grose but i tend to make my self sick in to 500 ml water bottles..(no water in them ovcourse lol)
my weight constantly goes up n down too.. got msn? mayb we could b ana buds..? it reli helps to have some one to talk to throo this kinda things!

If you do that, of course you put the weight back on! When you starve yourself or make yourself throw up, all that does is make your metabolism slow down. That means that your body burns fewer calories. So when you do eat, you'll pack it all away as fat.

If you want to lose weight, you'll have to eat smallish meals often (about six a day) to keep your metabolism going. Make sure you never starve yourself or cut your calories below what you need.

In addition to eating often you should:
-Walk
-Drink lots of water
-Eat fruits and vegetables
-Avoid things high in saturated fat

Anorexia and bulimia are both life threatening diseases. It's not something that physically and mentally healthy people just become. If you think you have an eating disorder, get professional help.

It may seem cool to you or whatever. Anorexicia/Bulimia may be the latest fad but it most certainly is NOT cool. When people look at you, they do not see healthy, beautiful. They see sick, dieing, ghostly. If you need to loose weight, go to my profile, click one of the posts I replied to called How Can I loose Weight or something like that...and read it. I'tll help, I promise.

A year ago, I was anerexic. I almost died from it. I was in the hospitial, and it was hard for me to start eating again. It was the scariest thing in my entire life. A year later, I am healthy, pretty, and looking great. I excersize, and eat all the calories I need. Try fruits and vegetables.

And please don't think I'm trying to critize you, I'm just trying to save your life.

It is much better to find a sport that you enjoy and work on it everyday!! This way you'll be loosing weight and definitely enjoying yourself! If you don't enjoy your workouts, you won't enjoy losing weight showing that you are not committed to this weight loss goal of yours...
Anorexic people always think they are too fat and ugly... have you ever noticed how beautiful people were before they thought they were fat and wanted something that was not worth losing their beauty for? It's a shame that this has happened to many young pretty girls, I hope you will realise your beauty... it's not what;s outside that counts... it's the real you beneath your skin.
Starving yourself will not keep you beautiful... embrace you looks and enjoy exercising and it will take you far..
And don't make an excuse saying that there is no form of sport you'd like!! There are so many sports exercises that you may not have tried yet!

I am reallly shocked at this. I am 22 years old and have been suffering from Anorexia for years, I still look in the mirror and see myself as majorly huge, but I wanted to know how to not put weight back on but still eat properly so I can get out of this... to find kids trying to give advice to be anorexic shocks and somewhat sickens me - GIRLS - FIND LIFE NOT DEATH. I am still struggling now and I didnt reach an underweight stage before my heart and lungs started to go into failiure. I was in agony, kept passing out all the time and was at the point of being sectioned in a psychiatric unit (around right weirdo's who would scare the living daylights out of you) if I didnt start eating again.

You shouldnt be looking to become anorexic buddies you should be looking for help because your going to end up DEAD otherwise... Plus people will see it, and as your 15 your parents will intervene and then you will be watched, put into therapy, forced to eat stuff you dont want to, put on drips and in psychiatric care... do you really want that? I think you need to think really hard about this.. why not just exercise and eat to prevent your bodies from being starved of the vital nutrients you need before you get to a stage where you cannot be helped. before it becomes more serious? your teeth will go mouldy, your organs will fail, your hair will fall our, you will grow hair on parts of your body you dont want to like your face, your skin will become dull and grey, your muscles will waste away, your bones will become brittle, your breathing will become shallow and hard to do, you will get wrinkles quicker, you will lose your vision and brain functions - do you really want this?

I know that anorexia and bulimia are typical things to try as a teenager, because I tried them, too. I wish I had known the long-term effects that I have now learned in medical school. Please know that you are doing permanent damage to your body that CANNOT be reversed.

When you make yourself throw up, the acid from your stomach goes up your esophagus and erodes it - as well as erodes your teeth, causing cavities. When your esophagus is eroded, you lose control of the acid in your stomach and it splashes up, causing pain during/after meals. It can also cause ulcers, which are also painful and can bleed, causing death.

When you starve yourself, you can have hair loss on your head because your body doesn't have the right nutrients to maintain it. You also develop a fine hair all over your body called downy hair that keeps you warm if you don't have enough body fat to keep you warm. It can also cause brain and nerve dysfunction because you aren't getting the right vitamins to keep the cells working properly. Also, your spine can start to breakdown for the same reasons. (The vitamins are B12, folic acid, and vitamin D if you wanna look it up.)

Some hints for losing weight: don't eat fried foods, eat more vegetables, drink water (not sodas, not juice), exercise. Exercise is key because they said that body images issues can be caused by depression and exercise can help get rid of depression and raise your self-esteem.
