well running is fine (i eing 14) but i hate running, the best tips i can give you are these:
1. make your everyday life more active. at skool take the long route to class go up and down stairs more
2. go up stairs best excerise
3.dont JUST run, a mile and a half is good, if you want serious results really fast you might wanna run 3, but work on abs for your stomach like sit ups and stuff, google ab workouts there theres tons of stuff. and other stretches, try arm circles (circling your arms for like ten minutes). try the dance for ten minutes straight to fast beat music no stopping 3 times a day everyday for awhile. jumping jacks, push ups, you need to do more than run
4. eating better is good just know which carbs are bad and which carbs ARE GOOD.
5.try taking vitamens and take energy drinks like gatorade b 4 excersisng and drink like tht slim fast stuff or watever, ( personally dont like any of the above stuff so i just drink lots of water, liek when your at a resturat our out to eat try and make it a habit to just order water)
6. make sure your eating when your hungry, and NOT when your bored, lost of people mistak boredom with hunger and eat a lot, try to stick to 3 meals a day and a snack or 2 if needed, and make sure you don't OVER EAT. thats bad to be able to stop when you should stop
7. come up with a ruglar plan, and then after a month or so amp up ur plan make it more rigorous.

P.S do fun things with friends haveing others around is fun, bike riding, my favorite is rock climbing, running around, playing like tag or capture the flag is good!
i disagree with sexie mama in so many ways. your bosy needs that food for nutrition if you dont you can get really sick! you are doing great! running is a great way to lose weight but try to exersise other parts of your body .1do sit ups to optain that flat belly.2 when you jump your using every musle in your body so try doing jumping jacks.3 drink lots of water! water has 0 clories and no fat ! it also gives yopu more energy so try drinking water for every meal it makes your metabolism faster and you can actually feel when you are full.
