How can i look older when i go out?

Every time I go out to the bar with my friends, to the casino, or to buy alcohol I always get ID'd and they sit there for like 10 minutes trying to figure out if I'm of age. I am 19-years-old, which in Canada makes me legal to do all those things.

tired of my friends being able to get in so quickly and I have to wait because I look quite a few years young than I am so most of the time they think my ID is fake, its really starting to annoy me. I've never tried to buy alcohol under age, I've never had a fake ID, I've always been honest with it and now that I am old enough I feel I shouldn't have a problem.
I know a lot of people wish they looked younger, and I am happy in general that I look young but sometimes I just wish I could temporarily look a big older.

What can I do to look a bit older from time to time?

Well, yes, it's a compliment to me to be carded, and one day you will be happy about it. But in the meantime I would try maybe putting your hair up, and trying out different make up tips to make you look older. You can also look and seem older by paying attention to what you wear. Get together one night with your friends and have a makeover party or something and try out different looks. When you find the right look, go out and Have Fun!!

Sometimes tight, sexy looking clothes makes it look like you are trying too hard. You can still wear something sexy and classy at the same time.

I have a few a ideas: get a fake wedding ring,or/and if you have a cell phone: pretend to talk to your kids or hubby.

just roll with the punches. dont change yourself. when you get carded and they hassle you ask to speak to the manager or owner and explain kindly that they have insulted you and if they wish to keep you as a customer an apology is due. I do that everytime someone gives me a hard time about my id and in most cases I not only get an apology but a discount or free drinks. they want to keep their customers happy. and if you speak up about it people may remember you and not hassle you the next time.

I still get carded... and I'm 30...

Don't let your young appearance seem like a negative thing.

They do not have to apologize to you. It is their job to card anyone who looks underage. They can be fined if they do not do this, or even lose their license. Best to just show your ID, smile, and get on with having fun.

Lipstick always makes me look older... but seeing as if your going to clubs, your not going to want to look older by dressing more sophisticated, you're there to have fun! As long as they let you in, I wouldnt stress too much over it. But try lipstick, it works for me.
