How can i get over him?

Okay this guy that I was dating for almost a year and a half broke up with me about a month ago... im now dating another guy whom I do think I like... but I keep thinking about my ex... I still miss him... do you know how to get over an ex... I really...

did love him even though he treated me pretty much like crap most of the time... the guy im dating now treats me great but I don't know I still miss my ex and I just want to get over him so I can be happy with my new boyfriend and it not ruin the relationship that I'm in now... so please if you know anyways that can help me get over him please tell me

Babe I was going through the EXACT same thing about a month ago.
My ex and I were together for almost 2 years. And he broke up with me.
He also treated me like crap as well, any my boyfriend now treats me like
I am an angel.
The way I got over my ex, was I spent more time with my boyfriend I have now.
I tried as hard as I could to not think about him.
I stopped thinking about the other guy and stopped talking to him as much.

I've been thro it to I had known this boy my whole life we first started as best friends and then slowly fell in love we were together for almost 3 years and one day he moved out of state and when he came back I still felt the same way but obviosly he didn't ,,, um he had changed for the worst and had a new pretty girlfriend and I thought that if I fell in love with someone else it would take away the fact that I was still in love with my ex but it didn't work but what you have to do is take it slow it may hurt and cry for a while but don't worry it gets better and yes its going to take longer than a month for you to heal
THE WORST part of this situation is that if you have loved someone you won't ever be able to stop
THE BEST part is that it that you will be able to love again
and to finish my little story we had been seperated for almost year and im just now gettin over it and as soon as I did He came runnin back to get to the point
if it is meant to be he'll come back but if it isn't just know that you are one step closer to finding your one true love
