How can I get my parents to let me stay up late?

Im 16 (as said on my profile) and I still have a bedtime… at 10:30. It really sucks because all of my friends get to stay up as late as they want and I get left out. Some nights the parents go to bed early and I just dont go to sleep at 10:30 but somenights I try to sneak back down to chat with friends on the computer. They say the reason why I have to go to bed is cause im “disrupting” the other 6 people in my house (large blended family). How can I approach them to allow me to stay up later? I have already asked and that was the awnser I go. Thank you in advance!

Early sleeping helps growth, but perhaps your teachers could help you, get them to givwe you muich homework etc., it is outrageous you do not disrupt because you are up, tell them also they steal your life from you by sending you to bed, no-one knows how long he will live.

You could get a cheap laptop off ebay or something and do it in your room. Or text your friends in your room? I don’t have a bed time, But I end up going to bed at like 10:30-11:00 anyway. just maybe ask for one night to prove you can stay up without waking everyone up?

10:30? That isn’t bad. I know a few friends that has to go to bed at 8:00 and 9:00. I get to stay however I want because apparently I can wake up nice and easy with any amount of sleep. I think maybe just lay down on them. Say that you don’t get enough “freedom” Or just call them annoying (while won’t go nicely with your family).

perhaps if you disrupting everyone else you could save up your money and buy a computer/laptop for your room so they dont wake up when they hear you sneaking out?
