How can i find the answer to this chebyshev's theorem problem?

Asked by cedarptrage 2 months ago, 1 answer.

For my homework I am trying to solve two problems of Chebyshev's Theorem. There is nothing in my statistics book that helps me out. Can I get an idea on how to solve this?

Using Chebyshev's Theorem and given that n=600, find the NUMBER OF DATA ITEMS...

that are:

1. 1.72 standard deviations from the mean.

2. 2.48 standard deviations from the mean.

Thanks for your help.
