How can i feel better about my body?

Horse Asked by prettysoutherngal about 1 year ago, 4 answers.

I'm 20 years old, 6' 3 tall, and weigh only 160-170 pounds. I've always had issues about taking my shirt off in front of people, and have always been made fun of cause I'm really skinny, not so much made fun of now, but in high school. I have probably...

less than 5% body fat, so I'm really lean. I've worked out a little bit, but I've never gotten deep into my workouts, like I'll stop within a month or so. I just never get in the habit. I feel that working out is more of a chore than something fun. Also, I live on campus at my college and the food is really really bad. We don't have a stove but only a microwave in our dorm room. What can I buy at the store that will help me in that category?

What things should I do that could help me gain muscle mass?

check it out.. I have a similar problem, I am really lean, but I am strong and cut. I used to weigh 140 now I am 155 - 160. what you can do is use supplements. you will want to use Protein and maybe creatine. directions on usage are on the bottle. protein helps because thats what your muscles are made of. you cant build a house without wood, you cant build muscle without protein. creatine is a nutrient that helps replenish your muscles faster and it stores water in them causing them to swell or look bigger. something that skinny guys like us like!! now if you do this for a month you should see some changes. but only if you eat healthy and actually work out hard enough. for abs you should check out this routine http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=ensafe=offrlz=1B2GGFB_enUS287US292q=6%20minute%20abs%20couchum=1ie=UTF-8sa=Ntab=wv#

running helps build your abs also. and burns calories and keeps you in shape.
when you cant lift just do some push ups. try doing sit ups and push ups in between commercial breaks while watching a movie.. not so much of a chore anymore. make goals and try to meet or break them. say im going to do 50 push ups during this break and then do it or more!

eating healthy. check the labels!! you can get plenty of TV dinners that are good for you. calories are important but not as important as Saturated fats or Trans fats.. eat stuff with little or no SAT Fats or Trans Fats 0g - 5g at most. those fats cling to your body and hard to burn away.. also see if the fiber intake is high or not.. the more fiber the faster you digest it. high amounts of protein!!!

I could talk all day about this stuff.. I hope this helps out. like I said once you see results you will want to keep going. work hard, and if you get tired... GOOD!!! its a work out thats what's supposed to happen.

about 3 years ago I was about 9 and I felt the same way except I was axact opposite I was a little chubbier then average but I finaly said you know what so what who cares if people laugh at me because of my weight and I didnt let it bother me so they finaly stoped because I didnt mind them. now im 12 at 5' 9 and 140 lb. my doctor said I would be 5' 6 and 160 if I didnt eat healthy, limit myself to having 1 snack a day ( healthy ) so I went from 23% body fat down to 20% body fat within the first year now im only 18% body fat just from excersising 1 hour a day and eating right. and do something you like when you excersise and get some friends so it doesnt feel like a chore. and eat food with fats, and proteins I would recomend 3,000 calories a day then you excersise for 1 hour you burn 1,000 calories or so. then finnish your excersise with a glass of whole milk because that has the most NATURAL vitamins not the stuff they add in to it to make people buy it. next time you go to the pool or something take off your shirt and dont listen to what they say.
