How to convince my mom to let me dye my hair?

Well,I'm fifteen and for a long time,I've been wanting to dye my hair - either red or blonde.So,I would personally prefer my hair around a Strawberry Blonde color,because when I was younger,I had that color,and looked a lot better on me.I can't really work with blonde,because my Mom did chunky highlights on me,and my hair was orange for two months!

Everytime I get my hair done,I can only have highlights,but they only last for a certain amount of time,and fade easily - in my case.My hair is a medium brown,and I just don't personally like it.What should I do?

My Mom thinks it's a bad idea to let me get my hair done - dying it of course,because she doesn't want me to ruin my hair,and if I dye it too many times,it could fall out easily - or at least what she says.How could I convince her?

oki I've been in Cosmo for a long time now and I have to say that your mom has nothing to worry about your hair gets ruined no matter you do but I can understand that shes scared of the chemicals a lot of moms are but as long as you get it only done once a year your hair will be fine and if you get a damage control shampoo your hair wont get reacted as easy from spit ends and when your hair starts growing back out just get a touch up...OH AND GET IT DONE IN A SALON there are some places that are really good and do it cheep

Im 12 and I dye my hair every 6 weeks, I put blonde in it.

It doesnt make it fall out, although it is high mantinence because you get regrowth, which is when, If your hair is brown, you died it blonde it would show throw the roots a bit, and would end out a but streaky.

Your hair wont fall out unless you BLEACH it. Theres a difference.
And if you get it professionally done, it shouldn't wash out or fade away. Just sit your mum down and tell her you could pay for half, or do more jobs around the house etc.

You can tell her that you would really want it to be dyed. Tell her your reason. You could tell her that it's your hair and not hers so why worry?

I had the same problem so one day I just said f*ck it and went it got and done and she just bi*ched at me and said your hair is going to start falling out, yea if you bleach it a lot and straighten it and you dont take care of it then it will fall out but as long as your properly taking care of it, it should be fine.
