Talk to them and explain that you feel mature enough to have it done but first ask them why they dont want you to have it done

have a family meeting and let everyone have there say!
but tell them in the end the final decision is down to you
Good Luck

Heres another way to look at it. They are looking out your you in the long run. I know two girls who were in your situation at your age. They got it done but onece they hit their 20s they relzied that many workplaces dont allow and jewlery on their face so they have to take it out. OR they decided that it looked tacky and took it out. The problem is now they have a huge hole in their nose that looks pretty bad. I think that your family is just looking out for you in the future. Justmake sure to think if you really want a hole in your nose the rest of you life.

I am a nurse is a primary care clinic. Every week we see people of all ages with badly infected nose, lip, and eyebrow piercings. Mostly nose and lip, because of the heavy bacteria infestation in the area. These people are in real pain, and it makes me kinda sad to know that they did this to themselves.

I know it's all about self expression, and I am all for that. My daughter and I (she's 12 and I'm 40) have bright shiny pink hair. We love it! Not everyone does, but we do. It certainly gives my patients something to talk about!! The point is, there are lots of ways to express yourself that wont cause you physical pain and scarring. Hair colors, henna tattoos, maybe develop your own personal wardrobe style. Also, there are magnetic nose rings that look very authentic and stay in place really well. YOu could try it for a while, see how you like it and approach your parents again. If all else fails you will be 18 in a few years and you can peirce anything you want.

Dads are human too.
