I was blonde as a child up until grade 6, when I started to dye my hair brown. Now its black due to a bad dye job, how do I get it back to my dark blonde color at home, is it possible to die it the lightest color possible then dying it a darker blonde?

you cant dye black hair to blonde.
blonde hair dyw wont work over black hair. youll either have o wait for it to grow out or use bleach. but bleach ruins your hair and burns it. bleach wont take you back to your natural colour but depending how much you bleach it, it will take you to variouse shades of blonde. remember the less time you keep the blech in your hair the better, and use a heated tool (like a blowdryer) to quicken the bleaching process. or if your unsure about how to go about it go to a local hairdresser or a place that sells hair care products. they should be able to help you and tell you what you can do

Id say use a lot of bleach but then theres the high risk of all your hair falling out cause it will die...maybe go to a local hairdresser , I dont suggest doing it yourself but if you have an qualified friends/family, I've bleached my hair and it all started to come out luckily I stopped...aslo bleaching makes it unhealthy s make sure you give your hair enough proteins and minerals in your shampoo and conditioner...

if your hair is black DO NOT bleach it. you will be very unhappy with your results. your hair will be an ugly brassy orange color and will feel very coarse and damaged. your best suggestion is to strip the color. you will need to go to a professional beauty supply store to buy any of these products. although, at times you may get lucky and a certain individual may sell to the public. I recomend provanna or elimin8... all you do is simply put this all over your hair and it will turn your hair a very warm color anywhere from red to orange. simply color a cool tone over this... a nuetral brown would be best. no golds or any warm colors at all, stay away from this! then from there about a week or two later you casn highlight out your hair and get that pretty blonde that is desired. it is a very long process, but this would be the least damaging hair. and healthiest. I am a hair sylist and have seen this many times, including done it to myself quite a few times! if you have problems getting to a stripping product, I highlight suggest going to a hair stylist. it will be costly, but well worth saving your hair from damage.

put a lot and a lot and alor and a lot and a lot and alor of bleach!!! I did it but then it turns hard so you have to put lots of conditioner to soften it it works...if not well...just go bald I guess, that way you wont have to worry of dying your hair.

Honestly girlfriends, this is a grow out process only if you want to have healthy healthy healthy hair. I'm a natural blonde, but have been dark for a while... progressively going from my natural blonde to medium brown to dark brown to black. Yesterday I decided I wanted to go back to blonde, obviously I couldn't go straight back to my natural colour but thought I'd give it a head start and go to a hairdresser and get her to suggest either getting it stripped with a remover or bleach or get lighter foils put through it. Well we decided on the remover, she put it through twice and when this happened and she was washing my hair, it was sooo damaged :-( then because the remover takes it back to a orangey red colour (which is normal in a removal process) she had to put another colour over the top, she put a chocolate brown because she had too to cover the oranges and reds that were darker in some areas and lighter in others... the colour looks okay, it's 4 shades lighter than black. However, I am now left with extremely damaged hair that when wet, I can't even comb through otherwise it all falls out, it's been cut to my shoulders and I've got bangs... my whole look has changed and I've been crying all day today :-( it's okay though, I've decided to be strong and now let it all grow out naturally as bad as it will look, I'm letting my natural blonde locks grow back, will use head scarfs and head bands to hide the regrowth as much as possible, putting super protein treatments in my hair as often as I can, boosting my diet with vitamin b and protein. Big life lesson to learn... appreciate your own natural hair colour.
