I suggest you go to the local library, the atmosphere there will help you concentrate, and there's no distractions. you'll notice you flying through your homework. you might find other books interresting as well..
I tell myself this saying, 'Don't put off for tomorrow, what I can do today'.
LMAO..I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM...=(...I HAVE A RESEARCH PAPER DUE IN LESS THEN A WEEK...ITS SUPPOSE IT BE 11 PGS..I HAVENT STARTED YET! ERRR...
LOL, I also havea procrastinating problem and a ten page research paper due next week. I think you should like that guy said, see if you can go to the library. um...stay after school. listen to music when you need to concentrate on your stuff.
I have that problem too - and going to the library usually helps.
What also helps is making myself turn off my laptop, Ipod, or TV and put it in my room or out of sight so I can't use it when I study
I also give myself rewards for getting something done when I plan on finish it. So if I have an assignment to read and I want to do it that night - when I finish I get to eat a snack I like or watch a TV show I like or I might build up my rewards so I can reward myself with something larger like a new shirt.
Don't accept the effects of procrastinating.
Low grade on papers but you just need to scrape by anyway, low self esteem due to scraping it away.
Pulling all-nigthers but you won't find the effects of that until 20 years of it, you'll just fall asleep in class and miss important course materials.
Simply put, procrastination is a form of laziness that is a sin that ultimately only you have to forgive yourself for, I would prefer you to achieve good grades so that you won't regret your ONLY chance at doing high school the normal way.
Do yourself a favour and make a start at your project so that you can reflect on it and then make some progress as you find yourself motivated instead of cramming.
Good luck, asking the Q is the right thing to do.

How can I break my habit of procrasinating?

I have everything going on right now in school: exams in a couple weeks, projects, homework.. so much stuff! And I get so stressed out, but at the same time I NEVER feel like getting it done. I always plan on doing my homework as soon as I get home from the bus, but when I walk in the door, all I want to do is just put my stuff down and do something else. Its like the atmosphere of my house and the smell and everything.. it all reminds me of not getting stuff done. I know its so strange. can someone help me?
