How can i become more outgoing?

I'm usually really shy around other people but I wan to make new friends. I want to go to dances and party's but when ever I go I feel like an outcast. Any suggestions on how I can become more outgoing and fun?

you no what im finding i have that problem lately i just moved to a new town im not feeling it. but my advice when you go out make sure you are compleatly confertable with your self all you have to do is say hi to someone if that ignore you fuck them but in most cases that wont happen then start up a converstion. also think of your self as the life of the party and let lose n have fun

I find its easier to go to parties with people you already know. Then you can at least have someone there to talk to. Maybe the friends you have now can introduce you to some of their friends you've never met.

That is how I was before I met my really outgoing and crazy friends! Now I will dance and just be myself when I am around them. I guess they make me feel like it is okay if you make a fool out of yourself... Don't get caught up on how peolpe want you to act just find friends that are themselves!
