Here's a tip- don't!

If you feel like causing irrepairable damage to your body, and the idea of killing yourself slowly through the means of starving yourself and depriving your body of the essential vitamins, minerals and proteins it needs every day to function appeals to you, the only help you need is from a counsellor or other qualified professional.

You do not want to become Anorexic. Its highly unattractive, and will destroy your life. Listen to lex_icon, she _knows_ - she's been through something similar, and it wasn't pretty. She's managed to get out of it, but the damage is still there. Please, do not put yourself through anorexia.

Im not sure why you can to such a drastic measure but I would advise you not to do it. Being anorexic is not "a simple and practical way to loose weight" if thats what you intend to do. Anorexia is a disease and it causes you do dehydrate and starve. If you go through with this you with make yourself sufere and it wont help with your problem. Becoming anorexic isnt the solution and if you have any decent mind you will notice that.

As an addition to the three above me, if you DO really want to become anorexic, instead of doing that, just eat less. You are probably thinking that you eat too much, so eat less junk and just eat veggies, meat, and grains. You will remain healthy and will not well, DIE. This is actually just eating better. If you become anorexic, it will ruin your life. It is not a weight loss program, it is a mental illness caused by self esteem. I don't have high self esteem, (Actually, I have severly low, I considered suicide, but I keep deciding against it. I AM GLAD I AM!) but, I still remain healthy and the healthier, the better your body is!

My older sister was anorexic and she was so moody and she looked like nothing but bones. So I won't ever do that, its not right to put your body through that. And when you get older you won't be able to lose weight as easy as could. You are better off to get on a diet that you can stay with.

Hi,

I don't think you understand that bulimia and anorexia are both psychological conditions. You don't MAKE yourself either of those things--they are diseases of the mind. They aren't substitutes for healthy diet and exercise, which WILL help you lose weight.

Instead, it will slow down your metabolism, making it harder to lose weight. Eventually, anorexia and bulimia will demineralize teeth. Your teeth may become sensitive to heat, cold, and acids. Eventually, your teeth may severely decay, erode away from fillings, and finally fall out. Sexy, huh?

Your blood potassium levels can drop significantly with regular vomiting or use of certain diuretics. This can disturb your heart's rhythm and even produce sudden death.

Salivary glands may swell because of infection and irritation from the vomit. You may at some point suffer from stomach ulcers and bleeding and tears in your esophagus. Constipation may result from frequent laxative use.

When bulimic episodes occur over time, a sequence of chronic illnesses can occur affecting your heart, liver, gastrointestinal tract, and/or neurologic complications.

The way to lose weight is through healthy diet and exercise. Eat 4-6 SMALL meals a day, consisting of lean meats, whole-grain starches, fruits and vegetables. Set up your plate so 1/4 is meat, 1/4 is starch, 1/2 is fruit and veggies, and there is minimal fat.

If you do this as well as drink 8 glasses of water a day and exercise for 30 min a day a few times a week, you will see healthy results.

Good luck.
