well the initial test will be a risk test. Usually a family history is taken to see if you are an actual CAD risk patient. By asking this question I am assuming you believe that their is possible symptoms. If guidelines or symptoms fall in to a CAD diagnosis a list of test are usually preformed.
Electrocardiogram (ECG), Exercise stress test, Echocardiogram, Nuclear heart scan, Coronary angiography

There are other possible tests that could be done but it would just be overkill. Usually diagnosis can be made with a simple ECG.
