I bought a hoover vacuum from costco and it broke after only a few months. Where can I buy a good vacuum that won't break too quickly?

Try a place like sears where they have a big selection and get a waranty on what you buy so that if there is a defect or if it breaks too soon you can have it replaced.

My parents had a Hoover that lasted decades. The Hoover vacuum that I bought in my bachelor days lasted me over a dozen years. A few years ago I bought a Hoover from Sam's Club and I could immediately see that they just don't make them like they used to. It had good suction but it clogged easily, its beater bar would quickly be wound with thread and hair, the whole thing was made of flimsy plastic but it was still heavy and hard to push.

I gave it to my step-son. He just has a small apartment so it might be ok for him. I got a Dyson which works good. I'm not convinced it is as great as the marketers claim but it is so much better than my last Hoover that it makes the Hoover look like a piece of junk.
