How do you make a easy to use tattoo gun that works?

You don't. If you want a tattoo - go to a PROFESSIONAL. They have REAL equipment that your SUPPOSED to use. If you want a fake tattoo they have ones you put on with water or they also have spray on ones.

You DON'T, you go to a trained professional for a tattoo.

Youtube has several videos. You can practice on pigskin or a grapefruit.
You can also make a rotary type from a 99 cent store face/nose trimmer. Remove the tapered tip, and you have a disc similar to the type used on rotary machines. Fashion an L shaped handle from a tooth brush. You can use real tattoo needles and disposable grips. The needle loop has to be made smaller. (The handle has to be glued on to make it permanent).
Tattoo kits are cheap right now. $75. Cheap tattoo guns can be gotten for $14.
There are free courses online on proper sanitary precautions.
Inmates make their own equipment and do full back tattoos!
