Well, figured copper wire is conductible so if I could get like a box and put a nail in the middle of it, put 4 super magnets on the nail so it spins and put a few hundred rounds of copper wire around it that I would be able to move the electrons flow into a current and crank the nail, but how would I be able to hook the small generator to my laptop battery charger and what would be a unique way to hook up the generator to some other piece of equipment so it turns by its self im accepting any type of energy whiter its water, solar, wind, just easy ideas to power my laptop
I think you are vastly overestimating the amount of power generated by such a simple generator. The kind of generator you are talking about would put out enough wattage to light up a small light bulb if it were turned constantly. And you seem to think you can just set this thing in motion and stand back, which is not the case. The energy to turn the magnets would have to be supplied by hand.
Any small generator would have to be either enormously powerful or run continuously to power a laptop. Consider this: in this link, someone hooked their ipod up to a hand-crank to charge it. After 30 minutes of continuous cranking, he got enough power to run his ipod for half an hour.
Ya hand cranks are too weak, but I thought she meant a gasoline generator. In that case it'd be easiest to buy one if they even sell one that small and just buy it. Find one with an outlet to make things as simple as possible. I mean laptops don't need much power, so that's why I wonder if they have such tiny generators. I know how to make one too, but it's complicated and difficult. Dunno if I'd even try it myself.
If you want a fun project that you really can make yourself, you can try solar panel. You'll need a huge panel because unlike a gasoline generator a solar panel doesn't make much power. Make sure the solar panel voltage (V) matches the voltage on your lap top charger (the thing you plug in). The rated current (A, or 1000 mA = 1 A) should be a lot higher than what it says on your charger, in case it's a little cloudy out or it's not high noon. Assuming you can afford this huge panel, from here it's just a matter of wiring it up. Look up online how to splice wire and solder, it's fairly simple. Get a spare plug to plug into your lap top, connect the positive wire on the solar panel to the positive wire on the plug and the negative to the negative and then you're done!
Note: try at your own risk and consider experimenting on an old lap top. You may want to find and buy a voltage regulator to make sure the voltage on the panel doesn't go higher than what they claim it is, to avoid damage to the lap top. From there instead of wiring the solar panel to the plug you just wire the solar panel to the regulator and the regulator to the plug.
