well the best approach is to just come straight out with it if you beat around the bushthey get tense parents hate it and I suggest you talk with the nicer parents first and if they approve say you would like to sit down and talk to both of them. be very kind and mature and straight forward they will admire that you do it that way. im not sure you will get a yes but its a good way to ask hope I helped

Sit down with them and talk AFTER you found out about all the costs who's going, when, for how long etc. If you have your plan sorted out it will be much easier to persuade them.
